Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) is planning to form a company for Vishvamitri River Project. VMSS has approached the state government seeking approval to convert the Vishwamitri project into a corporate endeavour. A proposal for the same was recently moved and approved in the general board meeting. VMSS wants to take up the entire project professionally and that is why it is necessary to convert it into a company.

Gets clearance from VMSS and the state authorities

Citizens will be able to Vote with comfort of home by using e-vote system in upcoming Municipal Elections in six Mahanagar Seva Sadan(municipal corporations) of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar. All they need do is register with their respective collector or in the mamlatdar's office of the area where they reside. Government employees will start training people for registration and other processes related to e-voting, beginning from July. Names can also be registered from July only, and the government will also initiate an awareness drive during this period.
